In 1794, Thomas Jefferson composed a list in his Garden Book of "Objects for the garden this year;" included were a number of useful herbs, commonly grown in gardens of the period for their culinary and medicinal applications. The fragrant, edible herbs in our collection offer a selection from Jefferson’s list, as well as old garden favorites like basil, dill, oregano, and borage.
Packaged in an attractive, reusable and recyclable tin, this collection includes the following ten seeds:
English Lavender
Long Island Mammoth Dill
Borage
Roman Chamomile
Sweet Basil
Greek Oregano
Italian Parsley
Rosemary
Sage
Thyme
Due to possible seed supply shortages, substitutions of similar, relevant varieties may be required to complete this collection.
