Monticello Staff Recommended! This garden cultivator is designed and tested for digging in heavy clay soil. The blades of this 5 tine fork are made of heat treated hardened steel: 10" long and tapering from 2.5" down to a point - 4.5" spacing between tines.
Broadfork easily tills even heavy clay soil, slides right through - aerating without disturbing soil structure. The handles are aircraft quality, heat treated tubular steel.
Stand on the tine assembly to sink blades into soil, and then pull back on handles to move them through the soil. When using a broadfork in heavy soils, work in incremental depths for easy cultivation. 14 lbs, 23" wide, 19 1/2" between handles, 60" tall overall.
